Why did you initially enrol on the barista training?

I wanted to learn more about coffee, consolidate my brewing skills and wished to find a part time job in Cardiff.

 

Tell us about your experience with Boss & Brew Academy.

The most remarkable moment was when Natalie told me and other trainees to taste an espresso with wrong extraction time, because it was very funny when everyone just having a miserable face and could not wait to spit it out! Since that, we all understand how important dialling in is and having a correct extracted time of espresso is crucial to brew a good quality coffee.

Besides, I enjoyed the most was the mini pop up right after the course. It imitated how a coffee shop runs and allowing us to take turn to experience different post. I think it was very useful to understand the daily routine of a barista, since it could bring what we were taught to practice.

 

What have you been doing since the workshop?

I worked in Littleman coffee since April 2022. I enjoyed the most is seeing the customers enjoyed and appreciate the coffee I brewed for them and saying, ‘Thanks for your coffee, bye!’.
