Go-to Drink: Vanilla/Caramel Latte
Go-to Cafe: The Training Ground/Blend
Date Attended Workshop: June 2022

Why did you initially enrol on the barista training?

I had a small taster session in June 2021 in school and really enjoyed it. So I was eager to do the full course the following summer. There was also work experience available with the welsh millennium the day after the course. It was a good thing to out on my CV. Also, I did the course with a friend so it was a fun activity.

Tell us about your experience with Boss & Brew Academy.

I think my personable skills improved the most, if I didn’t do the course I wouldn’t have had the experience of working at TTG. It opened my eyes to something I never would have gone into.

What have you been doing since the workshop?

I’ve volunteered in a few events, like the Butetown Carnival over the summer. I now work in The Training Ground, i’ve been working there since August 2022. The thing I love most about working in coffee is that there’s always something more to learn and coffee can be quite unpredictable at times. You have to be adaptable and willing to learn, it keeps me engaged in the job.
